A Return to the Natural Order
TekraPlayorbt was established with a singular vision: to heal the fragmented relationship between modern housing and the natural landscape. In an era of concrete expanses and artificial turf, we saw a profound need for living, breathing spaces.
Operating out of Portland, Oregon, our studio draws heavy inspiration from the rich biodiversity of the Pacific Northwest. We approach every project not merely as decorators, but as environmental stewards.
Our Design Pillars
1. Ecological Integrity
We do not fight the existing climate or soil structure; we design specifically for it. By utilizing native plantings, we ensure our gardens require less water, minimal fertilization, and naturally resist local pests.
2. Material Honesty
We favor raw, natural materials—weathering steel, locally quarried stone, and sustainably harvested timber. These materials age gracefully, adding character to your landscape over decades.
3. Functional Harmony
A beautiful garden must also be livable. We meticulously plan flow, seating, shade, and privacy to ensure the outdoor spaces we create are used intuitively and frequently by your family.
